Three stuck canvas-1 requests, and what they exposed in the Owner Loop

Reconstructed from commits on 2026-10-23; no transcript. Sept 30 to early Oct 1. canvas-1 Fitness grew fast enough that three Actors collided, and untangling them found four Owner Loop defects, a false claim of mine, and a test suite that had not run to completion in weeks.

  • experiments/canvas-1 Fitness: limitation-aware starter plan with discomfort back-off (543d1289), equipment inventory with weights snapped to owned dumbbells (Actor, merged 93ed5b1e), action-first view with dated skip/roll-forward (36a7be83), optional workout log context feeding recommendations (eb1efc42, merged 8a41f896)

  • 54da4f90: restored three merged canvas-1 Fitness features that two retry-deferred-deploy receipt commits had reverted

  • 273145df: promote-app.mjs verifyCommitTypechecks restores the working tree after checking out the candidate for verification (the cause of that partial ship)

  • 5d9047ec: actor-spawn re-pins its execution base at job start (the confirmed cause of base_diverged), Council-reviewed before building

  • 4d67bc10 + d664c0d3: the dispatcher is serialized against itself, and each dispatch carries an execution token echoed into run-name, so a run id is matched exactly or not at all

  • 2a011e21: a manual clarify workflow for a request blocked with no terminal-result file

  • dbe69b05: Foreman detects a refused promotion that nothing has picked up

  • d6a1a429: restore-failure tests execute the real function body with injected failures; the run-name token round-trip proven against real GitHub with a disposable probe workflow

  • 6e1ba452 + f25cb2ec: test:os green — mirror-drift tiebreak on slug, push gate allows branch deletions, two hook test copy-lists derived from real imports, transcript-dependent tests skip with a reason when the transcript has aged out
